Welcome to Snape. We are committed to providing a secure, reliable and convenient platform for bill payments and related services through the Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS).

Please read these Terms of Use carefully before registering, accessing or using Snape Services. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and AK INFOPARK PRIVATE LIMITED.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for, accessing or using Snape mobile application or website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Use and any applicable policies referenced herein. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.

2. Definitions

  • "Snape", "we", "us", or "our" refers to AK INFOPARK PRIVATE LIMITED.
  • "User", "you", or "your" refers to any individual or entity using the Snape Platform.
  • "Platform" refers to the Snape mobile application, website and related services.
  • "Services" refers to bill payment and related services provided through BBPS and partner institutions.
  • "BBPS" refers to Bharat Bill Payment System, an RBI-regulated bill payment system.
  • "Biller" refers to any service provider registered on BBPS whose bills can be paid through Snape.

3. Eligibility

By using Snape, you represent that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age
  • You are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement
  • You are not prohibited by law from using the Services
  • You will use the Platform only for lawful purposes

4. User Obligations

A) Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities conducted under your account.

B) Compliance

You agree to comply with all applicable laws, RBI regulations and BBPS guidelines while using the Platform.

C) Prohibited Activities

You shall not:

  • Use the Platform for illegal or unauthorized purposes
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or data
  • Introduce viruses, malware or harmful code
  • Interfere with the security or operation of the Platform
  • Engage in fraudulent transactions
  • Reverse engineer or tamper with the application

5. Sign-Up and Registration

To use Snape Services, you must complete registration by providing accurate information, including:

  • Mobile number or email ID
  • OTP verification
  • Any additional KYC information if required

You agree that:

  • All information provided is true and current
  • You will update details when necessary
  • You are responsible for activities under your account
  • AK INFOPARK PRIVATE LIMITED may request additional verification

6. Services Overview

Snape provides bill payment services primarily through BBPS, including but not limited to:

  • Electricity bill payments
  • Water bill payments
  • Gas bill payments
  • Telecom (mobile, landline, broadband) bill payments
  • DTH recharges
  • FASTag recharges
  • Municipal taxes and utility payments
  • Other services as enabled under BBPS

7. Transactions

Bill Payments

Snape enables payments to registered BBPS billers using available payment methods such as UPI, cards, net banking or wallets.

Important conditions:

  • Transactions are processed through BBPS infrastructure
  • Payments once successfully processed cannot be cancelled
  • You must verify bill details before confirming payment
  • Payments made to incorrect accounts due to user error are your responsibility

8. Fees and Charges

A) Convenience Fees

Certain transactions may attract convenience fees, which will be displayed before payment confirmation. By completing a transaction, you agree to the applicable fees.

B) Taxes

Applicable taxes will be charged in accordance with prevailing laws.

9. Refund Policy

Refunds are governed by BBPS rules and applicable regulations. Refunds may be processed only in the following cases:

  • Failed transactions
  • Duplicate payments
  • Unauthorized transactions (subject to verification)
  • Biller rejection or reversal

Refund timelines:

  • UPI / Wallet: 1–3 working days
  • Debit/Credit Card / Net Banking: 5–7 working days

Refund requests must be raised within 7 working days through Snape app or official support channels.

10. Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts without prior notice if:

  • Terms are violated
  • Fraudulent or suspicious activity is detected
  • Regulatory requirements demand action

11. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform, including logos, trademarks, software and designs, is owned by or licensed to AK INFOPARK PRIVATE LIMITED. Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.

12. Data Privacy

Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.

By using Snape, you consent to:

  • Collection of necessary information
  • Use of data for service delivery
  • Sharing with BBPS entities, banks and regulatory authorities as required

13. Customer Support and Communication

By using Snape, you consent to receive communications regarding:

  • Transactions
  • Service updates
  • Security alerts
  • Promotional messages (opt-out available)

14. Grievance Redressal

We are committed to resolving user complaints promptly. You may submit grievances through:

  • In-app support
  • Official email support
  • Customer care channels

We will make reasonable efforts to resolve issues within regulatory timelines.

15. Limitation of Liability

AK INFOPARK PRIVATE LIMITED shall not be liable for:

  • Service interruptions beyond our control
  • Errors or delays caused by billers, banks or BBPS network
  • User errors in payment details
  • Unauthorized access due to user negligence
  • Indirect or consequential damages

Services are provided on an "as-is" and "as available" basis.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India. All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Tamil Nadu, India.
